This role will support operational finance and corporate accounting activities across a portfolio of entities and reports directly to the Finance Director and Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly financial accounts, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis and management presentations.
- Process and review payments, billings, intercompany transactions, and employee expense claims.
- Monitor cash flow forecasts and manage banking matters, including fixed deposits and account administration.
- Prepare and submit regulatory filings, government surveys, and statutory returns to relevant authorities.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, corporate secretaries, and other professional service providers.
- Coordinate the annual audit process, including preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation.
- Support the finance leadership team by ensuring timely, accurate, and reliable financial reporting.
- Participate in finance transformation initiatives, system enhancements, UAT testing, and process improvement projects.
- Undertake ad hoc assignments and projects as required.
- Degree or Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 6 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of full-set accounting and financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Meticulous, proactive, and analytical with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems; exposure to NetSuite would be advantageous.
- Candidates with a combination of external audit and commercial accounting experience will be highly regarded.
