Product Specialist (Tools Control System)
Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with an organisation within the Industrial sector to hire a Product Specialist (Tools Control System). This opportunity is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Position Overview
The role is responsible for providing advanced technical support and specialist expertise for tools control systems and related products. It plays a critical role in enhancing product performance, supporting field operations, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide support for internal and external customers including proper equipment operation, diagnosis and troubleshooting problems for field technicians
• Analyze product performance to identify problems, make recommendations to improve and enhance products and work with internal and external sources to resolve problems
• Support and install new product implementation by working closely with engineers and field personnel as products are developed and updated to make recommendations and resolve problems
• Develop and maintain information databases by documenting the incoming calls as required and utilize data to prepare for service calls
• Work with the Training and Documentation group to write technical documentation on products for field technicians’ use including service bulletins, installation instructions and service manuals
• Work with the Training & Documentation group to develop, coordinate, and conduct training programs for field personnel
• Responsible for continuous improvement on all assigned processes
• Coordinate service activities on assigned products
• Keep abreast with industry standards and emerging technology
• Participate in special projects and other duties assigned
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
• Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years of industrial experience with at least 3 years of field service or technical support experience
• 1 to 3 years of Prior Network Interface experience is a must
Technical/Functional Expertise
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 7; Windows 10, Microsoft SQL Express, TCP/IP networking, Microsoft Office Application
• C++ or Java
• Web development
• Basic knowledge of System integration into Customers servers such as Oracle
• Demonstrate knowledge of a broad range of products across multiple product lines
• Ability to read electrical schematics and pneumatic diagrams
• Ability to troubleshoot a variety of PC problems
• Ability to do presentation with prior training experience
• Good command of spoken and written English & Mandarin including technical writing skills

• Team player with a mature personality and the ability to work independently under pressure
• Willing to travel frequently
