We are seeking a meticulous and experienced KEO to lead our compliance and administrative function. This role offers a unique opportunity to take ownership of regulatory governance, ensuring the business operates with the highest standards of integrity and accountability.

You will be responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance and administrative governance in line with the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) requirements. This position is focused on ensuring adherence to statutory obligations, with no involvement in sales activities or daily operational management of agents.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
  • Ensure full adherence to the Estate Agents Act and all applicable CEA regulations
  • Supervise the registration, renewal, and termination processes for Real Estate Salespersons (RES)
  • Oversee accurate and timely submission of all required regulatory filings and declarations
  • Maintain proper documentation and records in compliance with CEA standards
Licensing & Records Management
  • Handle all administrative matters related to RES licensing, including onboarding, transfers, and cessations
  • Ensure personnel and licensing records are consistently accurate and up to date
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation at all times
Governance & Policy Management
  • Develop and uphold internal compliance policies and administrative procedures
  • Ensure processes are aligned with prevailing regulatory requirements
  • Assist in conducting periodic internal reviews and compliance checks
Compliance Advisory
  • Serve as the main point of contact for CEA-related administrative and licensing matters
  • Provide guidance on regulatory requirements and compliance processes
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary administrative adjustments
Audit Support & Risk Monitoring
  • Assist in regulatory audits and inspections
  • Identify and highlight potential compliance risks relating to documentation and licensing
  • Ensure timely implementation of corrective administrative measures
Key Requirements
  • Registered with, or eligible for registration as, a KEO with the Council for Estate Agencies
  • Strong knowledge of the Estate Agents Act and CEA regulations
  • Prior experience in compliance, regulatory, or administrative roles within real estate
  • Highly detail-oriented, organised, and methodical
  • Strong sense of integrity with a focus on governance and compliance
