Our client is seeking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our finance operations across both their headquarters and local entities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing full set of accounts, financial reporting and group consolidation. This role requires a strong grasp of financial reporting standards, particularly IFRS and SFRS, along with proven experience in consolidation and stakeholder collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Group Consolidation
- Prepare and deliver accurate, timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure full compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure timely submission of statutory filings.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for the Group.
Account Management
- Maintain a full set of accounts, including the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets (including Construction in Progress).
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
- Execute payment runs for accounts payable and arrange necessary disbursements.
- Work closely with Sales & Operations to issue invoices for Monthly Recurring Charges and One-Time Charges.
- Monitor loan covenant compliance and promptly report any potential breaches to management.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts for Group entities.
- Collaborate with outsourced service providers and offshore offices to consolidate and align local budgets with corporate objectives.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide meaningful financial insights to both local and HQ teams.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and corporate governance policies.
- Coordinate with tax agents on the preparation and filing of GST, SST, and Corporate Income Tax returns.
- Liaise with auditors, regulatory authorities, and HQ to meet all reporting and compliance requirements.
- Support board matters in coordination with the Corporate Secretary.
Process Improvement, System Integration and Business Operations Support
- Assist in the implementation of the Yardi accounting system.
- Continuously assess and improve financial processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to resolve month-end issues, streamline workflows and provide operational support to various business units as required.
Requirements:
You possess minimum of a Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience, in-depth knowledge in financial reporting according to IFRS and SFRS and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
You have strong skills in business partnering, stakeholder management, and effective communication across all levels, and with an ability to apply accounting standards to real-world business scenarios.
