Product Development Manager (Actuaries Preferred)
About the RoleWe are a leading top-tier insurance firm seeking a skilled and analytical Product and Distribution Support Manager to join our Product Development team. This role supports financial evaluations, analyzes distribution opportunities, and provides strategic insights to optimize our product portfolio and distribution performance. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial analysis and a deep understanding of distribution channels to help drive business growth and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Financial Evaluation & Analysis
- Evaluate financial performance across distribution channels to enhance profitability and growth.
- Develop and maintain management information system (MIS) reports tracking distribution expenses, sales performance, product mix, and overall profitability.
- Analyze distribution data to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Deliver actionable insights to refine product offerings and optimize distribution strategies.
- Assist in annual business planning by preparing reports, tracking budget performance, and assessing strategic goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align plans with market and distribution objectives.
- Design and implement reports to monitor key metrics, ensuring alignment with strategic and budgetary goals.
- Track product portfolio performance to support financial targets.
- Serve as a key support resource for the Distribution team, providing technical insights on compensation, expenses, and product mix.
- Facilitate effective decision-making and ensure smooth operations across distribution channels.
Qualifications & Skills Education
- Actuarial degree or equivalent qualification in a related field (required).
- Minimum of 5 years in product development or actuarial roles.
- Actuaries who are keen to pursue a product development role are welcome to apply
- Proven experience with financial evaluations and managing multiple product lines.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in Excel and other financial/data analysis tools.
- Strong report creation and dashboard management capabilities.
- Effective communicator with solid teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
