An established and fast-growing fintech firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented  Compliance Associate  to join its APAC compliance function based in Singapore. This is a high-impact role offering broad exposure across the full spectrum of compliance matters in a dynamic trading and technology environment. The position reports directly to senior management and offers valuable learning opportunities across multiple jurisdictions.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day compliance matters for the Singapore office, including responsibilities related to a Recognized Market Operator (RMO) trading venue
  • Liaise with regulators, including the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings, compliance returns, and board/committee reports
  • Monitor and assess regulatory developments, both locally and regionally, and assist in impact analysis and implementation
  • Conduct and support Know Your Customer (KYC) checks, AML reviews, compliance monitoring, and market surveillance activities
  • Draft, review, and maintain internal policies and procedures
  • Support or lead regulatory license applications, audits, and other regulatory engagements
  • Provide prompt and pragmatic responses to internal compliance queries
  • Contribute to compliance and regulatory training programs
  • Collaborate closely with global compliance colleagues and contribute to cross-border projects as needed
  Your Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • A professional certification such as ACAMS is advantageous (or willingness to obtain)
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial services, preferably with exposure to fintech, trading platforms, or capital markets
  • Familiarity with MAS systems and compliance expectations; experience across other APAC markets is a plus
  • Experience in drafting policies
  • Proactive, analytical, and able to work independently with strong decision-making skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
