The Opportunity
You are an Application Support Analyst
with a strong focus on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). This is a key role that ensures the performance, scalability, and reliability of our mission-critical applications. You will act as the bridge between software development and IT operations—bringing automation, stability, and operational excellence to the forefront of our systems.
What You’ll Do
Incident & Problem Management

Provide Tier 2/3 support for production systems—troubleshooting and resolving complex application issues.

Participate in on-call rotations, lead incident response efforts, and perform root cause analysis (RCA).

Plan, test, and coordinate application deployments and system changes.

Create and maintain custom scripts to automate reporting and operational tasks.

Enhance monitoring and alerting systems to identify and resolve issues proactively.
Reliability & Performance Engineering

Define and monitor SLAs for application reliability and uptime.

Collaborate with infrastructure teams to fine-tune performance of databases and servers.

Continuously improve system architecture and performance through thoughtful redesign.
Automation & Tools Development

Build automation tools and scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Windows batch, C++) to eliminate manual work and streamline operations.
Collaboration & Documentation

Work closely with developers, infrastructure engineers, and security teams to enhance system design and support.

Maintain clear documentation, including runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and operational best practices.
What You Bring
-
At least 3 years of experience in application support or SRE roles, ideally within the financial services industry.

Familiarity with securities and/or derivatives back-office operations is highly desirable.

Solid understanding of equities and other financial products is a plus.

Strong troubleshooting skills, especially in distributed system environments.

Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash, Windows batch).

Experience working with Microsoft .NET C# applications.

Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including large-scale data querying and reading stored procedures.

Strong grasp of security best practices and system reliability principles.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

ITIL or other relevant certifications are an added advantage.

Bonus: Background in securities or futures brokerage and deep understanding of related business processes.
