We're looking for a Commercial Underwriter / Business Development Executive with strong experience in Commercial Lines portfolio to manage and grow broker book of business and client relationships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and corporate clients
- Drive new business and support renewals through strategic planning and negotiations
- Respond to inquiries on policy terms, conditions, and coverage
- Prepare quotations aligned with underwriting guidelines and treaties
- Analyze monthly premium trends and provide insights for reporting
- Conduct risk assessments/surveys when required
- Collaborate with underwriting to improve profitability of challenging accounts
- Assist in premium collection and ensure payment follow-ups
- Gather market intelligence and provide feedback to management
- Support administrative tasks (cover notes, documentation, instruction handover)
Requirement
- Degree/Diploma in Insurance, Business, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in general insurance (underwriting, business development or client servicing function)
- Strong knowledge of insurance products & underwriting practices in Singapore
- Insurance certifications is a must
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and insurance systems/tools
